These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SSMP mobile application (“the Application”), developed by United Allied Business Sdn bhd in support of St John Ambulance Malaysia, Selangor Darul Ehsan (SJAM SDE). By accessing or using the Application, you agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

1.2 User Accounts

Users may create an account via email registration. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information;
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;
• Be responsible for all activities under your account.

SJAM SDE reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

1.3 User-Generated Content

The Application allows users to create and/or upload content. By submitting content, you:

• Confirm that you own or have permission to share the content;
• Grant SJAM SDE a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and display such content for operational and informational purposes;
• Agree not to upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringing.

SJAM SDE reserves the right to remove any content at its sole discretion.

1.4 Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights related to the Application, including but not limited to its content, graphics, and branding, are the property of SJAM SDE or its licensors. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

1.5 Limitation of Liability

SJAM SDE shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the Application or any services offered therein.

1.6 Disclaimer

The information provided via the Application is for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. In an emergency, users must contact emergency services directly.

1.7 Modifications to Terms

SJAM SDE reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes. Continued use of the Application after changes signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms.

1.8 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.

2. Privacy Policy

2.1 Introduction

This Privacy Policy outlines how the SSMP mobile application, developed by United Allied Business Sdn bhd in support of St John Ambulance Malaysia, Selangor Darul Ehsan (SJAM SDE), collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our Application and website.

2.2 Data Collection

We may collect the following personal data:

• Name, identification number, email address, and phone number;
• Information provided during account creation or course registration;
• Content you upload (e.g., text, images, documents);
• Usage data such as device type, browser, IP address, and activity logs.

2.3 Location Data

The Application collects your device's GPS location in the following situations:

• Time-In and Time-Out Verification: When you record attendance at an official SJAM SDE activity, your location is captured at that moment to verify you are at your designated work location.
• Activity Route Tracking (Background Location): After you have timed in for an SJAM SDE activity, the Application continues to collect your location periodically (approximately every 5 minutes) even when the app is closed or not in use, until you time out. This is used to record your route during the activity for operational and safety purposes. While background tracking is active, an ongoing notification is displayed on your device. Background tracking automatically stops when you time out or end the activity.
• Emergency SOS: When you trigger the Emergency SOS feature, your current GPS location is captured and sent to your designated Area Commander to facilitate an emergency response.

Location is only collected for the purposes described above. The Application does not collect location data outside of an active SJAM SDE activity or SOS event. Location data is stored securely and is only accessible to authorised SJAM SDE personnel for operational and safety purposes. You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings; doing so will prevent you from timing in to activities.

2.4 How We Collect Data

Personal data is collected through:

• Account registration via email or phone;
• Website interactions;
• Uploaded content;
• Communications with SJAM SDE by email or phone.

2.5 Use of Data

Your data may be used for:

• Account and identity verification;
• Course and volunteer activity management;
• System administration and feature delivery;
• Communications, reminders, and emergency notices;
• Compliance with legal obligations.

2.6 Data Sharing

SJAM SDE does not sell or rent personal data. Your data may be shared with:

• Third-party service providers (e.g., hosting, payment processing);
• Regulatory or enforcement authorities as required by law;
• Internal departments of SJAM SDE to support legitimate services.

2.7 Data Security
